Directional X-ray machines are commonly used in industrial X-ray inspection. In order to achieve the best image quality, the beam detection angle is often specified in the standard: for example, the transmission angle of the electron beam welding black line test is ≤ 2 °, and the welding seam is transmitted through the light. ≤5 °; TIG welding seam ≤10 °; Casting ≤15 °.
Although this standard is made in the standard, it is difficult in the actual implementation process. Take the conventional directional X-ray machine in Figure 1 as an example:

Even if the X-ray tube is adjusted to a horizontal state , it is unknown whether it remains horizontal during the X-ray tube lifting process. The position of the effective transillumination area, for the transillumination of the ray tube to be rotated by a certain angle, it is impossible to confirm the exact angle after rotation, which is not conducive to obtaining a satisfactory ray film.
In view of this situation, a simple tool for controlling the horizontal position and rotation angle of the tube is produced.
01 、 Levelness measuring instrument
Attach two small spirit levels at 90 degrees on the window of the tube, when the cavity is in the middle of the level, it proves that the tube is level, as shown in Figure 2;
When the level is not good, the cavity position is on the side of the spirit level, as shown in Figure 3.
In this way, the level of the tube can be controlled very simply and practically.
02, Ray tube rotation angle measuring ruler
The rotation angle of the ray tube is not easy to measure with traditional methods. The angle after rotation is often estimated by human eyes, with low accuracy and poor repeatability. It is difficult to ensure the consistency of the quality of the negatives, and it is even caused by the improper transillumination position. The manpower and material resources are increased, and the inspection workload is increased.
In order to solve this problem, a semicircular angle ruler was drawn according to the structure and size of the ray tube with the vertical ground being 0 degrees, and a rotation angle measuring ruler for the ray tube was made. The angle measurement rule was pasted on the ray tube and used. Very convenient, as shown in Figures 4 and 5.
The levelness measuring instrument is used in conjunction with the rotation angle measuring ruler. First, use a spirit level to confirm that the ray tube is in a horizontal position, and then attach the rotation angle measuring ruler to the ray tube. The two are used in conjunction with the red laser collimator. The central position of the ray beam is conducive to obtaining high-quality ray film.
